This product is an oil-based natural wood finish specifically designed for use on exterior hardwood decks and cladding. Tropical Pro™ Professional Grade Decking & Cladding Oil (Low VOC Formula) does not raise the grain of the wood and provides excellent penetration. DECKS

Because horizontal surfaces collect airborne dust, dirt, and tree pollen, which contribute to mold growth, decks should be cleaned once in the spring and once in the fall with Tropical Pro™ Professional Grade Wood & Deck Cleaner (Part A) to assure a natural wood appearance. Before treatment, new decks should be allowed to acclimate for a few days to remove any surface moisture and mill glaze. Decks should be treated with Tropical Pro™ Decking & Cladding Oil (Low VOC Formula) no more than twice a year. Excess product not absorbed when applied should be removed to prevent tackiness and surface sheen. For more information, visit TropicalPro.com. If oiled finish is desired, best practice is to finish boards on all faces and edges prior to installation. This slows the woods acclimation process and reduces the potential for wood movement.

01
PREPARATION
Make sure the surface is clean, dry, and in good condition. Clean weathered wood with Tropical Pro™ Wood & Deck Cleaner (Part A) and Tropical Pro™ Wood Brightener (Part B) if required. Remove the previous stain or paint entirely before applying Tropical Pro™ Decking & Cladding Oil (Low VOC Formula). Apply when temperatures are between 40-90°F/4-32°C and the surface is not hot to the touch. Do not thin. When oil is applied after cleaning or wood brightening it is important to let wood dry thoroughly after each process.
02
MIX
Stir well initially and during use. Intermix all containers of the same color to ensure a uniform appearance, and cover plants, grass, and concrete to protect from spills.
03
TEST
Apply to a small test area to ensure complete penetration and color satisfaction before proceeding with the entire project.
04
EQUIPMENT
Apply with a quality bristle brush, roller, pad, or airless sprayer. Back brush or back roll if applying by spray.
05
APPLY
Apply a uniform, even coat - stain the full length of the boards, keeping a wet edge. One coat is sufficient for most applications. On decks, excess product not absorbed should be removed to prevent tackiness and surface sheen. Over application of oil will not extend service life. Over application of oil will promote the adherence of dirt, dust or pollen which act as a food source for mold and mildew
06
CLEAN
Clean application equipment with mineral spirits (paint thinner). See the warning on the label regarding rag and waste disposal.
